Cowboy’s Ten

My husband sent me an email yesterday titled “Only in Texas” that was a wonderful summary of of some of the cities named in Texas and categorized by things like: want to travel, you don’t have to go to Washington, city names kids would like etc. But at the end of the email was the list of God’s commandments in cowboy language.  Now I am a country girl at heart and I have been to cowboy church not once but several times and it is a most wonderful, warm hearted adventure displaying God's simple truth. And this list pretty much gives you a flavor of the down home, country loving, God fearing teaching of cowboys.

Just thought since rodeo season is upon us that this would be a good Friday morning share.
Hope you enjoy it!

Cowboy's Ten Commandments posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Farlie, Texas:

(1) Just one God.

(2) Honor yer Ma & Pa.
(3) No telling tales or gossipin'.
(4) Git yourself to church meeting.
(5) Put nothin' before God.
(6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal.
(7) No killin'.
(8) Watch yer mouth.
(9) Don't take what ain't yers.
(10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff.

Y'all git all that?

Lord, keep Your arm around my shoulder and Your hand over my mouth.

Praise God wherever you are and whatever situation He has allowed you to be in . . . His glory will shine through!
