Collaboration

Collaborate; what a great word and so fun to say cause it just kinda rolls off you tongue. I have been in some medical venues as a spectator lately and this word seems to come up regularly in conversation. Yesterday, I was at a meeting at Methodist and a scientist was speaking of cell regeneration and the importance of collaborating with all department heads including cardiology, orthopedics, genetics, neurology, oncology etc to further advance research for what is sure to soon to be an advanced healing process for patients of any nature.

It is truly amazing, to me especially, who has no biological or scientific sense whatsoever to be able to even imagine or relate to this kind of language, much less the goals that they are setting to make headwinds into new break thoughts.  I sat in this meeting and thought we on the outside world have no real apppreciation for the research that is being done daily for the good of patients in need. These folks have a genuine passion for researching cures for all types of diseases. This is not just for a paycheck, this is heartfelt desire of these scientists to accomplish through research, experience, trials and error cures for conditions that effect all of us, our families, friends and the world at large. They are smart, dedicated and entranced into their mission. But as said often and regularly, this is a team effort and collaboration among other professionals and institutions and research that is being done all over the world, strides are being made, one step at a time to promote
cures for weakened bodies.

Back to collaboration.  It is a teamwork effort purposed to solve united goals. Collaboration not only
blends forces of minds and research but it also quickens a process of understanding and solution.
Now to the point of this particular thought pattern.  How many times do we try to take on lofty goals on our own without consideration of collaboration. We hesitate to talk to peers for fear of judgement. We hesitate to share our failings for fear of pity. We forge forward many times out of pride.  We resist help because we don’t want someone else messing in our business and making suggestions that don’t line up with our wishes.  Ok, I have said all of this not because you necessarily do this but all of these things I am very guilty of. But what about collaborating with God.  How many times do I even sidestep his input?

After hearing the challenges and hurdles that these medical scientists, who are brilliant are overcoming through collaboration, it is a clear indication that collaborating is good thing. But collaborating with God is an over the top great thing because he already knows all the answers, and solutions to any of our deliberations or situations. We just have to be in tuned with him, communicate with him and share with him our needs, our concerns and our requests. He sits upon his throne in wait;  waiting for us to come to him. To call him for approval, support, direction change  wisdom or strength or anything that would help us to get and stay on His right track.

And although God has all the answers, in order to better build a life line with him he will allow us experience trails and errors until he is able to get us right with him a consistent basis.  His cure for sin is done and proven.  But it is us who have to learn adapt to a new life style through his grace and acceptance of his boundless love.

Two are better than one and when God is our chosen collaborative partner we are assured success, maybe not always in the eyes of the world but surely through the eyes of heavenly host.  Time is a most valuable asset when strides of improvement are on the horizon, and every moment that we declare God as our partner we are coming closer to a unified effort of mind over matter, peace in spite of conflict, strength that overcomes weakness, and God’s authority that overrides the fractures of our worldly view.  His grace is upon us, his spirit is within us and his love embraces us; for he is a collaborative partner who has everything to offer and all blessings to give. God has but one goal for us that is broken into three parts: 1)  that is that we believe in Jesus, and 2) that we trust him and obey him and 3) make every effort to live according to his word and presence. If we strive for that same goal, then we too are collaborating in efforts that yield to worthy rewards.

1 Corinthians 12:12
Unity and Diversity in the Body ] Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

Dear Lord, Help me to reach out for your help in all situations and not be blinded by prideful control or fear of man’s judgment.  Amen

Praise God wherever you are and whatever situation He has allowed you to be in . . . His glory will shine through!
