Perspective

I do not know the original source of the words below but it was sent to me by my sister-in-law and I found it to be a most wonderful perspective. So as the day has progressed, and I count my blessings, again God has nudged me to adjust my attitude, reevaluate my perspective and honor His call to the presidency. For He is a God of wonder, and he will use this event too as part of his ultimate plan.

1. God has a plan.
2. God has a plan for us.
3. God is perfect.
4. God's plan is perfect
5. What God doesn't remove, we are to endure.
6. We rely on His grace in times of adversity/prosperity.
7. We rely on His Word in times of adversity/prosperity.
8. We are able to relax in our thinking and share His happiness.
9. We are able to switch our concentration from circumstances to Him.
10. Four more years? So what? What are four more years in the light of eternity? Nothing.

Four more years to glorify Him in times of tremendous pressure.

Four more years of witnessing Him sustain us.

Four more years to bring the ONLY message that brings "Hope and Change" and that is: The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Four more years of blessing:

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord
And whose trust is the Lord.
"For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to yield fruit.

Praise God wherever you are and whatever situation He has allowed you to be in . . . His glory will shine through!

Hi Cathy,

My name is Jason Horton and I just want to thank you for sharing this post I wrote. I woke up very early on November 7, 2012 and I turned on the news...

What I suspected (from the night before) came true: 4 More years...

I was deflated.

I was anxious.

I was even a little fearful.

So, I confessed my sin to the Lord and began to relax. And, I started writing down--point by point like my pastor always does--why things are going to be okay. Why it doesn't matter who is in office. Why 4 more years don't matter. Why God would continue to take care of us. Why my faith should be in Him and not some election.

And, as I often do: I published it to my facebook page. Never in a million years did I think it would spread the way it did. It's gone everywhere (and even a few people who've tried to take credit for it). But, honestly, all I did was recall the doctrine that my pastor-teacher so faithfully teaches. I composed them in that order and added a few comments, but really: it's all God's grace.

I just want to thank you for sharing it. I pray that it helps others recall to mind: God's faithfulness and unfailing love.

Thank you.

Forever Forward!

In Christ,

Jason Horton
